Hello everyone, today this last blog will be about my favorite animal in the world. CATS. I can't describe how much I love cats in my life, I don't know how I could live without them before. But I'm not the only one who loves cats, did you hear about how the Egyptians loved them so much to the point they are like gods to them? It's incredible, the benefits and adorable qualities of these animals attract humans.  Almost throughout history, cats had a fundamental role in historic events. We need and they need us. A good example of this is the worst pandemic in history, the Black Death, which caused many lives lost, only because humans decided to kill a million cats that produce a massive amount of rats that gave diseases to humans. Another example and personally my favorite is when in Russia at the time of war when the food was limited and the people don't have hope for having good aliments because the number of rats was increased. The government tries to control them...

Education

Hello everyone, the topic of this blog is the process of getting into college, plus some tips that have personally helped me to have a more comfortable college life. First of all, just remember all the stress I was put under as a child because of the pressure of knowing what to do in the future regarding the career I wanted to study, where I wanted to study, etc. It takes me back to those days when my main priority was to have a good NEM (high school marks). I would say that all that dedication to get a good PSU score had good results, but sometimes I think that even if I had not been so strict with myself, I would surely have achieved it the same way. That's why my advice is, it's fine to worry about your future but don't let that ambition affect you psychologically, because at the end of the day you're only going to be in the fourth grade once in your life. Secondly, once you enter, many insecurities come to you that maybe you didn't know you had, for example, the...

Religion

Hello everyone. In this blog, it is time to talk about religion. I find it a delicate subject because after all many religions exist in the world and it is easy to create disagreements with other people who do not share the same religion. Oh well, that's what usually happens because in my case I could never choose for myself the religion I wanted to belong to, my parents are catholic. My grandparents too, practically all my family is catholic and that's why since I was tiny I always believed that was the only religion in the world (a little naive I know haha). But one day when I got to fourth grade I made a friend who was a Buddhist, at first it seemed super weird that he could not eat pork just because his religion forbade it, but I remember very well how he told me that the same thing happened with Catholics in Easter and he was right, after that, we laughed and from time to time I kept asking him about things of his religion, later I had other friends of other religions, who...

Healthcare system

What do you think of the health service in our country? I think the health service in Chile isn't that bad, because even if have mainly bad things also has some good qualities.  In the first place, talking about the good qualities of the education of health professionals is exigent with the students about responsibility, ethics, and dedication. In addition, the career is the longest compared to others. Unfortunately, mainly specialized professionals prefer to stay in big cities and private services.  In the second place, about a bad aspect of health service is the segregation between public service and private service, because as I mentioned earlier many professionals are part of the private system (Isapres) that is more expensive than the public system and for that reason, most people can't opt for better attention. This produces a saturation in the public system for example the long waiting hours for scheduling. In my personal experience that I'm from Copiapó, many tim...

Politics

Why is voting important? I think voting is an opportunity for the people to can choose a government with good politicians. This opportunity is not necessarily used because many people believe their vote doesn't matter or don't have the motivation to get up in the morning and exercise their right to vote. Also, voting allows us to claim better health, education, and safety for all, it is the only way to raise our voices to achieve change in our country. but the previous governments didn't promote the importance of voting and it was always the same people who went to vote.  Anyways, in my family, we always had conversations about my grandmother's time when she couldn't even vote and how now that it is possible, many of us don't give it real importance.  The last Sunday we had a historic turnout of people voting for a new constitution, Perhaps the results were not what many people expected but I hope that in the future many more duly informed people will continue...

But I remember once at my little cousin's house, she had some building blocks, with which I made a whole city on the floor of her room, then my aunt came and said ''Wow Francisca you did that? sure you want to be an architect when you grow up''. I was about 8 years old and obviously I had no idea what that was. My aunt explained to me and from that day on I got it into my head that I wanted to be an architect. It wasn't until the last year before college that I totally decided on the career and I have had a very good experience in college so far, even when it was online I feel that I was able to adapt much better and in person having the support of your ...

My blog experience

Starting with the word dynamic, I chose it because, this semester, I had never had an English teacher who had tastes so similar to mine and those of my classmates. That, in my opinion, brought out much more interesting topics to talk about in class, and with that, it made studying English much more entertaining. However, I still had moments that confused me a lot, about how to adapt my way of speaking in the blogs and even when we had to present in English, but these were things that were overcome thanks to the confidence that the teacher gave us.  I feel that my pronunciation is still a problem for me and it is something that I have to keep practicing, I plan to take an English course on vacation, although with student strike I don't know ...
