Religion

Hello everyone.

In this blog, it is time to talk about religion. I find it a delicate subject because after all many religions exist in the world and it is easy to create disagreements with other people who do not share the same religion. Oh well, that's what usually happens because in my case I could never choose for myself the religion I wanted to belong to, my parents are catholic. My grandparents too, practically all my family is catholic and that's why since I was tiny I always believed that was the only religion in the world (a little naive I know haha). But one day when I got to fourth grade I made a friend who was a Buddhist, at first it seemed super weird that he could not eat pork just because his religion forbade it, but I remember very well how he told me that the same thing happened with Catholics in Easter and he was right, after that, we laughed and from time to time I kept asking him about things of his religion, later I had other friends of other religions, who were evangelical or even atheists, but what impressed me most was that several of them had chosen their religion by choice and that made me notice some aspects that I did not like much of mine.  I still feel comfortable with the religion I have, but I am still intrigued by the others because I feel they have a lot of cultures to offer.

However, one thing I don't agree with is going to extremes with religion until it gets to the point where it consumes your life. Personally in my life, religion is present but not to a point of being something very constant in my day-to-day life.

Thanks for reading, have a nice day <3

  1. Hi, I find your blog interesting. I have never met a Buddhist person, I imagine it was very interesting. In general I like to learn about different religions and share different ways of seeing things.

  3. Great blog! I often think that when it comes to religion, we really are living in a bubble. We are really ignorants about other religions, because there is no education about it. Still I think there are so many interesting things in other religions that could really help us become much better and smart persons.
